STEP 1 : INTIMATION

My treating doctor advises the nursing personnel/resident medical officer that my treatment plan is over and I may soon leave the clinic. The discharge process is initiated on our system. I am informed by the nursing staff that I will be discharged so that I may make the necessary arrangement to leave the clinic.

Step 2: Pharmacy Clearance

The nursing personnel proceeds with the return of drugs not used during my stay and any medicine I need to take home is dispensed.

Step 3: Billing Clearance

My file is sent to the billing department to be closed. I will be contacted by the billing staff to settle the bill.

Step 4: Nursing Clearance

I will receive my medications, if any, and the discharge report, and I am requested to leave the room in the next 15 mins and make space for other patients needing treatment.

step 5: Late check Out

In case I do not leave the room, I will need to pay a late check out fee of Rs 2,730. This fee can only be waived if there is any medical ground for me not to leave.

Approx. time for discharge: 90 mins
