Specialised Services

At C-Care, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. Our Anesthesia team is here to make sure you feel at ease before, during, and after any procedure that requires anesthesia. Whether you’re having a minor treatment or major surgery, we’re with you every step of the way.

What We Do

Anesthesia helps you stay pain-free and relaxed during medical procedures. Depending on your needs, we offer:

  • General Anesthesia – You’ll be fully asleep and won’t feel anything during the procedure.
  • Regional Anesthesia – Numbs a larger part of your body, like during childbirth or joint surgery.
  • Local Anesthesia – Numbs a small area for minor procedures.
  • Sedation – Helps you relax and feel drowsy, often used for tests like endoscopies.
Before Your Procedure

We’ll meet with you beforehand to talk about your health, answer your questions, and choose the safest and most effective anesthesia plan for you. We’ll explain everything clearly so you know what to expect.

After Your Procedure

Our care doesn’t stop when the procedure ends. We’ll monitor you closely as you wake up and help manage any discomfort. Our goal is to make your recovery as smooth and pain-free as possible.

When You Might Need Anesthesia

Anesthesia is used for many types of procedures, including:

  • Surgeries (like appendix removal or joint replacements)
  • Childbirth
  • Dental work
  • Diagnostic tests (like colonoscopies or MRIs)
You're in Safe Hands

Our experienced team uses the latest equipment and techniques to keep you safe and comfortable. We work closely with your doctors and nurses to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Good sleep for good health

C-Care’s Sleep Lab provides effective and helpful treatments for those suffering from sleep apnoea and other sleep disorders. This unit is equipped with cutting edge technology to monitor breathing, movement of patients and sleeping patterns along with any other sleep disorders.

Using a multi-disciplinary approach, the sleep lab’s mission is to focus on the quality of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring the patients’ care and satisfaction are top priorities.

Our Services
Firstly, the sleep physician will determine if you have health problems that possibly relate to poor sleep patterns and then arrange a sleep study if required.
This could be in the form of a polysomnography in the sleep lab overnight, a short sleep study or a respiratory polygraphy, either in the ambulatory or in the Sleep Lab.

Then there will be a debriefing session with the sleep physician, where the analysis of testing is explained, the diagnosis is provided, and a treatment plan discussed.

Our Different Sleep Tests

The respiratory polygraphy

This study records your breathing rate and airflow, heart rate and oxygen levels and is performed in the home. The doctor or technician will train you in using the equipment and will not be present overnight du ring the study.

The polysomnography

This study is performed overnight in the sleep laboratory (a hospital private room). Several body functions are measured during sleep including brain activity, breathing, heart rate, body movement, and eye movement. The medical team is present and observing during this study.

MSLT/ MWT

Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT): This study is conducted to determine how sleepy you are during the day. The MSLT is used most often to diagnose narcolepsy (inability to stay awake during the day) and see what might be causing excessive daytime sleepiness.

Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT): This study is done to see how well you can remain awake when you are in a situation that encourages you to feel sleepy.

Symptoms of sleep disorders

Most common symptoms:
  • Snoring loudly during sleep
  • Sleeping in a fitful or restless manner
  • Feeling very sleepy during the day
  • Difficulty falling asleep
  • Frequently awaking at night and/or early in the morning
  • Difficulty waking up in morning
If you have one or more of these signs, you may have a sleep problem. An appointment with our sleep specialist is strongly advised.

Podiatry is a branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the lower limbs (feet, ankles, and legs), while taking into consideration the overall posture. Podiatrists, also known as foot doctors, are trained healthcare professionals who specialize in caring for the foot, including the skin and nails. They can diagnose and treat a wide range of lower limb-related conditions, such as foot, ankle, and knee injuries, deformities, and nerve and circulatory disorders. Podiatrists may also provide preventive care, such as routine foot examinations and advice on proper foot care. Additionally, they can supply custom-made orthotic insoles to correct foot and lower limb problems, which can improve the patient’s posture.

Occupational Therapists (OT) are allied health professionals who treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They help their patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. OTs enable people to participate in activities they find meaningful, including self-care (showering, toileting, dressing, eating), work/productivity and leisure.

OT is a holistic and client-centred profession that involves ongoing assessments to understand what activities you can do, any limitations you may have and your goals/motivations. OTs can offer advice/techniques about how to do a particular task/activity more easily and safely. They also prescribe devices/equipments and home modifications to help you do the activities you want / need or are expected to do in your every day life. OTs work with people of all ages, from paediatric to geriatric.
