Podiatry
Podiatry is a branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the lower limbs (feet, ankles, and legs), while taking into consideration the overall posture. Podiatrists, also known as foot doctors, are trained healthcare professionals who specialize in caring for the foot, including the skin and nails. They can diagnose and treat a wide range of lower limb-related conditions, such as foot, ankle, and knee injuries, deformities, and nerve and circulatory disorders. Podiatrists may also provide preventive care, such as routine foot examinations and advice on proper foot care. Additionally, they can supply custom-made orthotic insoles to correct foot and lower limb problems, which can improve the patient's posture.
