As an internal medicine specialist with sub-specialisation in endocrino-diabetology, Dr. Mahadeb has acquired good working experience in different sectors of internal medicine concerning both in- and outpatients. He has also acquired major experience in the field of general diabetic treatments, diabetic foot management and gestational diabetes. General endocrinology experience comprises outpatient and inpatient management of thyroid, pituitary and adrenal gland diseases.

Dr. Mahadeb started his professional career in Mauritius in 2014 at the former Apollo Bramwell Hospital now known as C-Care Wellkin as an Associate Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetology. He then joined the Public Service in 2015 where he has been working as an Endocrinologist for more than ten years.

Dr. Mahadeb has published and co-authored several medical articles on diabetes and other associated metabolic diseases as well as case reports on thyroid disease.
He was elected as the President of the Endocrinology and Diabetes Association (Mauritius) in 2019 and 2020 and is the current Vice President.
He has collaborated with the South Asian Working Action Group (SWAG) on the elaboration of guidelines in the management of Diabetes in the elderly and the management of sarcopenia.
