Chairman’s Visit to Uganda

Karibu! Ciel Group Chairman’s Visit to Uganda.

The chairman of the Ciel Group, Mr. Arnaud Dalais, and his wife visited Uganda over the weekend and were hosted by C-Care Group Uganda which is part of the establishments under Ciel group. The Mauritius-based Ciel Group, which was established in 1912, is active in more than ten emerging markets in Africa and Asia and operates in six key industries, including healthcare.

Before acquiring shares in Medical and Surgical Centre Ltd. and changing its name to C-Care, Ciel Healthcare was established in 2014. Since then, it has grown to operate and manage assets in Mauritius and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, including 1 tertiary hospital C-Care IHK serving the East African region and beyond, 27 C-care IMCs focusing on primary healthcare, a pharmacy and 20 laboratories in Uganda.

On his visit to the C-Care IHK, Arnaud Dalais, who Forbes lists as one of Mauritius’ multi-millionaires, expressed appreciation for the job done by the Ugandan team and a contribution made to the Ugandan healthcare space, He thus pledged additional funding to invest in modern technology and achieve aesthetics that meet the growing needs of clients.

With a 100-bed capacity, C-Care IHK has a full emergency department with 10 ICU beds and an ICU ambulance. Up to 40 board-certified experts and registered nurses are employed by C-Care IHK, a COHSASA accredited institution, to staff each department and area of the hospital.

The mother-and-child maternity unit at C-Care IHK is set up with labour and delivery equipment as well as postpartum care capabilities. Every patient has better outcomes attributed to the high calibre and adherence to internationally recognised standards.

With 27 clinics (19 freestanding) and 8 site facilities, C-Care IMC is Uganda’s expanding health network and is dedicated to providing first-rate primary healthcare throughout the entire country with an ambition of growing further into the East African region.

The foundation of medical care is testing, which supports prompt and accurate diagnoses and subsequent treatment. As part of the renovation of C-Lab, cutting-edge equipment will be brought in to simplify work in the laboratories. The quality of the employees continues to be a decisive factor in the efficient execution of every operational process, and investment in human capital resources is another important component of C-culture. Each lab run by C-Care has qualified technicians, technologist and overseeing pathologist.

In a similar vein, C-Care is committed to staying at the forefront of healthcare because research is the future of medical treatment.
